About
Canadian Malayali Health Initiative (CMHI)

The Canadian Malayali Health Initiative (CMHI) is a Toronto-based non-profit organization that aims to build a Healthy Malayali Community in Canada through Advocacy, Research, and Community Engagement. We aim to provide reliable information and resources to immigrant communities in order to promote wellness and preventative care.

Through advocacy, we strive to raise awareness about Malayali health issues, advocate for equitable access to healthcare services, and influence policy changes that positively impact the community. We work closely with policymakers, healthcare providers, and relevant stakeholders to amplify the voices of Malayalis and ensure their health concerns are prioritized. Our webpage includes resources on personalized risk assessments, lifestyle modifications, and medication management to help prevent and manage disease states.

In the field of research, we plan to conduct studies and gather data on various aspects of Malayali health, including prevalent diseases, risk factors, and healthcare utilization patterns. By generating evidence-based insights, we contribute to the development of targeted interventions, strategies, and policies that promote better health outcomes for the community.

Community engagement is at the heart of our efforts. We are planning to actively involve Malayalis through education, awareness campaigns, and culturally sensitive health programs. We plan to organize workshops, seminars, and health fairs to provide valuable health information, encourage healthy lifestyles, and facilitate community support networks. By fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment, we aim to strengthen the overall health and well-being of the Malayali community in Canada.

We have compiled a resource page about health initiatives and Malayali health professionals in Canada. The website provides detailed information about various health services provided by the Canadian Malayali Health Initiative, such as mental health, dental care, and physiotherapy. Users can easily book appointments for the services they require through the website.
